Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Setter/Operator to join our client. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate parts and components according to specifications. Your attention to detail and ability to work with precision will be crucial in this role.

Objectives

  • Fluting and Grinding of Mill Cylinders
  • Sieve Recovering
  • Small Repairs
  • Occasional Upgrades/Overhauls

Main Duties

  • Operation of CNC & PLC Machine for fluting and grinding of mill cylinders
  • Operation if manual press and lathe
  • Quality control and inspection with detailed accuracy using tools such as micrometers
  • Manually dismantle and rebuild roll packs & bearing fitting services
  • Ensuring all documentation is completed and stored using MS Office Tools

Experience

  • Previous machine workshop experience is essential
  • previous experience in the use of manual lathe and cylindrical grinding preferable

Skills

  • Master of mechanics
  • Extensive knowledge of machine tools
  • Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • CNC machine set-up and operation
  • Be able to use measuring instruments
  • Operation of Fluting and Grinding machines would be a distinct advantage

Hours & Salary

  • Monday/Thursday - 7:30am-4:00pm
  • Friday - 7:30am-3:00pm
  • 37.5 Hours Per Week
  • £26,000 - £28,000 P/A
