Manual Machinist

The One Group are pleased to be working with an Automotive Testing business in Leyland who hold an excellent reputation within the sector and are seeking a Manual Machinist to join them on a permanent basis working a day shift.

Reporting directly into the Operations Manager you will be expected to be flexible and multi skilled in the use of various manual machines. You will support all departments of the company and will perform varied tasks ranging operating lathes and milling machines to welding and fabricating various items using MIG and TIG welding.

The day-to-day duties include:

• Undertake to day-to-day fabrication of parts as requested from various parts of the company
• Machine components for test support
• Internal and external auditing
• Work flexibly to provide technician support to the test departments as required

What we are looking for:

• Turning and milling experience
• Welding (TIG, MIG, Gas)
• The ability to read technical drawings

This role will be working a day shift Monday-Friday 08:00 am-16:00pm with an early finish on a Friday where you will be responsible for completing fabrication work for a range of departments within the company.
