Our client is a successful property and leisure business set in one of the most picturesque areas of the Lake District. As a result of recent growth a Management Accountant is now required to join the team, assisting the Finance Director and departmental managers in executing the strategic plan. A key part of the role will involve improving business processes and developing the financial reporting system to deliver daily, weekly and monthly financial information. The main responsibilities of the Management Accountant will be:

• Preparation of the management accounts
• Producing KPI and flash reports for SLT
• Reviewing processes and controls
• Improving systems and reporting tools
• Assisting with budgets and forecasts
• Variance analysis
• Managing cash flow

In order to be successful in this role you must be an analytical thinker, able to multi-task and communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Previous experience as an Assistant Accountant or Management Accountant will be essential in this role and you must be competent using Excel in addition to finance and business systems.
