Currently working with a leading engineering service provider looking to appoint a permanent full time Management Accountant. Our client has a nationwide footprint, they collaborate with various companies in their sector and are on an ambitious growth journey , spurred by market opportunities and strategic acquisitions.

Role Summary:

Situated at the company’s headquarters, the Management Accountant will join the finance team in managing the accounts for one of the principal trading entities. This pivotal role involves providing precise financial reporting and insightful analysis to aid strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the compilation of management accounts, including journal entries and reporting.
• Analyse performance and elucidate variances.
• Prepare contract-level reports for managerial review.
• Conduct month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
• Facilitate the annual external audit.
• Uphold robust financial controls and adhere to the company’s reporting policies.
• Assist with cash flow forecasting.
• Work in tandem with the finance team to enhance the working capital cycle.

Desired Profile:

• A part-qualified accounting professional (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
• Demonstrable experience in managing accounts from start to completion.
• Adeptness in financial systems.
• Capacity to deliver under pressure.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to liaise with various business echelons.
