Client:

Castlefield Recruitment are working with a housing and property organisation based in Stockton-on-Tees in order to appoint a Management Accountant. They are a community focussed enterprise with a commercial outlook that aims to generate profits to fund projects in the local area. They have a great team culture and the benefits are very good.

Role:

Working closely with the Assistant Director of Finance, you will the management accounting and act as a key business partner across the organisation. 
Duties will include;

  • Preparing monthly Management accounts including preparing monthly reports for the senior management team, and preparing quarterly capital expenditure reports for multiple capital projects
  • Conducting budget holder meetings to review and challenge financial performance. Supporting and improving financial understanding across the company 
  • Managing year end accounting processes uncluding the development of the year end timetable, preparing statutory workbooks and submissions to the regulator
  • Taking responsibility for cashflow forecasting to support liquidity management 
  • Leading the annual budgeting process with budget holders, compiling a detailed quarterly reforecast of the financial position in conjunction with budget holders

Person:

The successful Management Accountant:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification preferred but not essential
  • Have the gravitas to partner with stakeholders across the organisation
  • Well rounded management accounting experience is essential
