Management Accountant – Newry

Newly Created Role | Permanent | Full Time | Site-based with the option to move to hybrid.

REED is delighted to be partnered with a reputable and growing manufacturing client in County Down in the appointment of a full-time Management Accountant.

This is an excellent opportunity to get full exposure into a busy accounts department, guided by a fantastic team who pride themselves on fostering collaborative relationships with their colleagues.

Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 per annum

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assisting with preparation of group management accounts, year-end accounts and board reports.
  • Monitoring spending and recommending ways to reduce costs and increase profit.
  • Assisting with group payroll when required.
  • Enhancing procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Production and distribution of financial KPIs.
  • Keeping up to date with financial policies, regulations and legislation.
  • Liaising with banking institutions and government agencies.
  • Ad hoc financial analysis as required.

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • A critical thinker, with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent planning, organisation and problem-solving skills.
  • ACA, CIMA, or ACCA Part or newly qualified.
  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS.
  • Proficient in Sage 200 – desirable.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience preparing management accounts to strict deadlines.
  • Solid team player.
