Management Accountant

Position: Management Accountant

Salary: £34,000 annually

Location: Walsall Wood (WS8)

Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:00 (office-based)

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly profit and loss statements
• Analyse data, including production variances, budget and forecast comparisons, gross profit, and overhead costs
• Assist in month-end closure activities
• Conduct monthly work-in-progress (WIP) analysis and reconciliation
• Review in-transit orders
• Ensure adherence to established finance processes
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting exercises
• Conduct bank, invoice, and ledger reconciliations
• Assist in budget preparation
• Generate management reports, both standard and ad hoc
• Report on key performance indicators (KPIs), forecasts, and budgeting metrics

Required Skills/Experience:

• Previous experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Background in a similar role or a recent graduate would be considered
• Part qualified
• Proficiency in SAGE 100
• Ability to thrive under tight deadlines
• Strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Proficient in Excel
