Management Accountant

A thriving SME business based in Aldershot is looking for a Management Accountant to report into their Finance Manager, initially on 12 month fixed term contract but with a view to becoming permanent. Management Accountant - About The Role

This position will be working for an SME client and therefore the role of Management Accountant will bleed across both the financial and month end monthly reporting. This position has the capacity to be made permanent and will have the scope to become a Finance Manager in the future.

• Complete a month-end bank reconciliation for each bank account for review on a timely basis
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
• Prepare month-end journals for review/approval and posting in the accounting system
• Assist the Finance Manager in the production of the monthly management accounts, year-end financial statements, the annual budget and periodic in-year forecasts. Preparing financial summaries/analyses for the Finance Manager and the Salus Board.
• Prepare supporting schedules for prepayments and accruals each month on a timely basis for review ensuring the quality of the balances
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for payroll and control accounts to maintain the accuracy of balances.

The successful Management Accountant will have:

• A formal qualification in finance - ACCA / ICAEW / CIMA / CA. Candidates that are qualified by experience will also be considered for this opportunity
• You will be available with minimal notice - start date pending a successful interview process
• Experience of working within an SME
