The Resourcery Group is currently seeking a talented Management Accountant to join the Finance Business Partnering team at a reputable Higher Education establishment. As a leading, award-winning, and research-driven institution with over a century of experience, this is an exciting opportunity to join a modern and dynamic organisation spread across three different campuses. This opportunity woul dbe based in their Stoke Campus. 

Reporting to the Head of Finance Business Partnering, you will work closely with Finance Business Partners to ensure timely and accurate production of monthly management accounts, providing analysis and commentary on externally funded projects, and actively contributing to university-wide finance projects.

The key responsibilities for this role include:

  • Managing the production of monthly management accounts with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitoring and supporting externally funded projects, providing analysis and commentary, and actively contributing to university-wide finance projects.
  • Effectively communicating and supporting key stakeholders.
  • Leading the forecasting and budgeting process for centrally managed portfolios.
  • Continually reviewing processes, identifying and implementing improvements.
  • Undertaking any ad hoc tasks as required.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • A proven track record in a similar role.
  • Strong management accounts skills with the ability to effectively communicate with non-finance stakeholders.
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel.
  • Part-qualified in CIMA/ACCA or equivalent.
  • A desire to work in a large, value-driven organisation and the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
