We have a fantastic opportunity to work with our client a global manufacturing business as they looking to appoint a part qualified Management Accountant. The successful candidate will become a key member of the finance team, assisting in making critical business decisions by analysing and presenting key financial data. This is a great opportunity for a part qualified Accountant looking to take then next step up in their career.

This business has a great working culture. The goal of the role is to support the Financial Controller with the decision-making process, that will ensure business growth and long-term success. This is very much a hands on role with plenty of opportunity for personal growth.

Duties;

  • Supporting the production of monthly management accounts for all business units in accordance with the reporting timetable. Includes posting journals to deliver TB
  • Assisting with monthly balance sheet reconciliations, and that all balances are correct, and differences investigated.
  • Preparation of VAT returns on monthly and quarterly basis, Intrastat returns, and excise duty compliance.
  • Analysis for cost centre budget holders, reviewing P&Ls for overhead costs
  • Variance and trend analysis
  • Production and posting of journals including accruals, prepayments, accrued and deferred income.
  • Assisting with budgeting and interim forecasting for all overhead cost areas
  • Support in the production of accurate monthly and quarterly flash results for Financial Planning and Commercial teams.
  • Assisting with year-end statutory audit process including annual stocktake

Experience required;

  • Part qualified or qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA
  • Working knowledge of cost accounting and reporting
  • Involvement within budgeting and forecasting, including analysis
  • Working knowledge of ERP software and MS Office
  • Analytical mind with aptitude in maths
