At Axon Moore, we are excited to partner with a leading global manufacturer based in the Wirral, who are in search of an ambitious Management Accountant – on-site role (Afternoon finish on Fridays)

You could be newly qualified or a finalist with CIMA or ACCA.

Reporting directly to a supportive Financial Controller and overseeing and providing guidance to the Finance Assistant.

This role offers a unique opportunity for career advancement, where you will play a key role in producing monthly management accounts in alignment with US GAAP principles while gaining exposure in a group setting.

Furthermore, you'll have the chance to make a significant impact by actively participating in the implementation of the new ERP system.

Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Oversee inter-company invoicing and reconciling group balances.
  • Responsible for maintaining the standard cost of Raw Materials, WIP and Finished Goods
  • Understanding and reporting all productions variances in a timely manner. Implementing changes / improvements, alongside the production team, to resolve costing or process issues.
  • Monitoring costs against budgets and investigating variances.
  • Preparation of weekly cash flow forecasting.
  • Production of quarterly VAT Returns
The Candidate:
  • Qualifications: CIMA or ACCA fully qualified or finalist.
  • Desirable: degree in Finance, Accountancy, Maths, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Understanding of Manufacturing environments, proficient in Cost & Project Accounting, and accustomed to deadline-driven delivery.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, autonomy in work and team collaboration, proficient in MS Excel for spreadsheet development, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Preferences: Experience in fast-paced, evolving business environments and involvement in new systems implementations.
