Accountancy Recruit is partnering with a market leading, global manufacturer in the recruitment of a Management Accountant based at the UK Head Office in Diss. The role is to provide Monthly Management Accounts for multiple entities with additional commentary and will develop into a Business Partnering role providing insightful analysis to drive growth and impact the profitability of the business. Additionally, take on leadership and mentoring of the team.

Duties
On a monthly basis -

Month-end and Year-end Closing: Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes with the team, ensuring accurate and timely completion of financial statements and related reporting.

  • Monthly management accounts: preparation of reports, analysis, and commentary.
  • Working closely with and supporting the Business Management Team and the Production Management Team.
  • Stock management: reporting on levels and movement of stock.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Prepare insightful reports that guide our strategic direction. Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles. Prepare regular management reports and financial statements to provide insight into business performance.
  • Business relationship partnering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize decision-making and implement financial best practice.
  • Cost Analysis and Control: Dive into financial data to uncover hidden trends and opportunities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in management accounting. Propose and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations.

Annually

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to create annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor actual performance against budgeted figures, identifying and explaining variances, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Compliance and Audit: Maintain compliance and internal controls in a dynamic environment with financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
  • Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
  • Responsibility of assisting in the internal audit function for UK&I.
  • Assist with implementing corporate governance procedures, risk management and internal controls identified.

Person Specification

  • Fully or Part Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CGMA or equivalent.
    Previous experience of Management Accounts and the ability to demonstrate technical accounting knowledge.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • A genuine desire to develop your career into a Business Partnering role and show commercial awareness.
  • Top-notch communication skills, making financial jargon relatable.
  • Precision and accuracy define your financial reporting style.

Remuneration

  • Salary £45,000 pa
  • Bi-annual profit related bonus
  • Hours: 8.am to 5.15 pm (7.5-hour day)
  • Holidays: 22 days holiday rising to 27 with length of service. Christmas & New Year close - we ask for 1 days' holiday to cover this. In addition, birthday leave and purchase of additional holiday.
