Responsibilities:

1. Financial reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, using SQL to extract data from various systems and databases where possible.

2. Ensuring the timely submission of the Management Accounts and other ad hoc tasks

3. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and management of the budgets and forecasts by providing insightful analysis based on financial data.

4. Variance Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of the financial performance, identify trends, and investigate variances against budget, highlighting areas of concern or opportunities for improvement.

5. Process improvements: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve reporting efficiencies by utilizing SQL to automate tasks and develop reporting tools.

6. Audit: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations and internal controls, and support audit activities as required.
