Salary: up to £45,000 DOE
Type: Full-time, permanent role
Currently seeking a skilled and motivated Management Accountant to join my clients non-profit organization finance team. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing various financial operations, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the strategic direction of our organization. Charity background is essential!
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervising day-to-day financial operations and ensuring accurate recording and reporting.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and providing training to staff as needed.
- Processing payroll and other regular payments accurately and promptly.
- Supporting month, quarter, and year-end financial activities.
- Reconciling balance sheet accounts and posting month-end journals.
- Assisting in financial statement preparation and budgeting.
- Overseeing HMRC tax compliance and VAT returns.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and providing financial expertise.
- Analysing financial data and generating reports for management review.
- Developing and implementing financial systems, policies, and procedures.
- Monitoring cash flow, budget variances, and expenses to support financial stability.
- Providing recommendations to improve financial performance and mitigate risks.
Requirements:
- ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualification.
- Proficiency in relevant accounting systems, with strong IT skills (especially Microsoft Excel).
- Experience at the Management Accountant/Finance Manager level in the charity sector.
- System implementation experience is advantageous.
- Excellent people management skills.
- Attention to detail and high accuracy in work.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
