Elevation Recruitment Group are excited to be partnering with a global manufacturing business in Bradford as they look to recruit an experienced Management Accountant into their team on a full time, permanent basis.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Completion of monthly and quarterly management accounts for specified companies including narrative, interpretation and recommendations
  • Close involvement in the monthly and annual stock taking process
  • Ensure the stock costing model is updated on a regular basis
  • Preparation and development of sales and profitability reports
  • Close monitoring, reporting and control of overhead expenditure
  • Preparation of local budget
  • To work with external advisors and professionals including tax advisors, auditors and accountants
  • To remain fully up to date with all relevant changes to legislation
  • To continually review processes and provide recommendations to continue to deliver accurate and timely information
  • Undertake project work as and when required and support Operational Managers
  • To be committed to own continuing professional development
  • To work alongside the Finance Manager and assist with any queries/tasks as required

Person Specification:

  • A recently qualified or part qualified Accountant (recognised by appropriate bodies such as ACCA or CIMA)
  • Ability to assimilate complex financial information and provide detailed narrative reporting including recommendations
  • Effective communication skills, able to influence and communicate with others at all levels
  • Ability to work within limited supervision; to make decisions and use own initiative
  • Ability to demonstrate strong IT skills including Excel and reporting
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Good organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and to manage a number of activities at any one time
  • Ability to reprioritise work with minimum warning
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrates Palram Core Values
  • Ability to deal with sensitive & confidential matters as necessary
  • Ensure high levels of data protection and security at all times and swift reporting of breaches
