Management Accountant

We are currently on the lookout for an experienced Management Accountant, who wants a permanent opportunity with a true business partnering feel. The role includes the full spectrum including balance sheet reconciliation to budget setting within a fast-moving organisation. 

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Management Accountant roles core purpose is to produce the monthly management and management information, providing accurate and relevant reporting information to aid decision-making.

Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for the production of monthly management accounts, forecasts, and cash flow forecast 
• Balance sheet reconciliations and a thorough understanding  of the statement of comprehensive income
• Budget setting, monitoring, and reporting with key stakeholders
• Continuous improvement of operational finance systems and processes
• Support in the production of year-end accounts
• Leading on Business Partnering activity to key stakeholders
• Financial input and support for any projects

THE PERSON

• You will be an experienced management accountant with experience in balance sheet reconciliations and budget setting
• Strong Excel skills are key, alongside experience working on accounting packages
• An effective communicator, with the natural ability to work with non-finance budget holders
• Strong communication skills
• Business finance degree or AAT level 4 qualified
• Working towards a Professional Accountancy Qualification
