Nigel Wright are delighted to be supporting a manufacturing business in County Durham with their search for a Management Accountant.

Reporting directly into the Financial Controller you will be responsible for supporting the divisional financial planning, analysis and reporting activities for the UK sales company.  

Duties & Responsibilities
As the Management Accountant you will be responsible for:

•    Co-ordination for sales company monthly closing activities
•    Sales and margin analysis (volume, price, mix) versus budget and forecast
•    Business Intelligence (BI)/Data Warehouse financial reporting
•    Warranty and rebate calculation and analysis
•    Freight and landed cost analysis
•    Overhead cost analysis, including accrual and provision requirements
•    Completion of sales company group reporting packages with full explanation and deviation analysis
•    Preparation of monthly management accounts and divisional review presentations 
•    Forecasting – preparation and review of divisional monthly P&L forecast requirements
•    Budgeting - preparation of divisional annual budgets and reporting packages
•    Control of sales company business spend purchase order processes and accurate general ledger account coding
•    Ad-hoc business support projects 

You Will Be/Have
•    Part - Qualified or Finalist ACA/ACCA/CIMA with 1-3 years relevant experience
•    Knowledge and experience of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence software packages
•    Advanced Excel and Powerpoint presentation skills
•    Strong analytical and good communication skills
•    Experience of SAP/JDE ERP systems and Group Reporting packages
•    Project finance lead experience
