Location: Oxted (100% office based, parking provided)

Hourly rate: Based on a salary of £40k - 50k, depending on experience and qualifications.

Length of assignment- 1-2 months with the potential to extend.

Hours: 09.00- 17.00

100% office based.

I am seeking an experienced management accountant to assist my client based in Oxted for a period of 1- 2 months. They are recruiting permanently and need support in the interim. 

The Management Accountant’s job role is to help provide support to the Finance Director to ensure a smooth operation of the Finance Department through overseeing sales invoicing, purchasing, banking & expenses, debtors and budgets.

Duties of the management accountant include:

• Checking invoices prepared by the Sales Ledgers.

• Checking consumption and stock and reporting any variances to the budgeted GP to our Managing Director.

• Investigate queries raised about the invoices.

• Facilitate chasing outstanding invoices.

• Manage mileage, expenses, and supplier payments.

• Budget work, including preparation and budget to actual information.

• Completing monthly management journals.

• Updating Fixed assets schedule allowing for monthly depreciation.

• Company vehicles log.

• Supporting finance staff – Initial contact for queries, problems etc. and being presence in office for them.

• Liaise with insurers regarding insurance and annual review of company liability insurance.

• Reporting analysis and comparatives on head office expenditure.

Requirements for the management accountant:

QBE or Part Qualified or Qualified
