Management Accountant Hybrid working

Management Accountant required for an leading, large corporate business based in Reading (Hybrid working)

The role requires an individual that can work on their own initiative, understand complex issues, to inform decisions.

2-3 days per week on site in Reading.
Engagement is via umbrella company only.

General responsibilities: -

• Ensure financial info is prepared accurately and on a timely basis. To include: reporting & financial analysis for key performance & monthly management reporting.
• Supporting (and challenging) the business alongside the Business Partnering team.
• Ability to understand key financial drivers and commercial processes.
• Advising the business in effective financial management, providing insight, and understanding of risks and opportunities, and working with Operations and Asset Management to support the drive for productivity and efficiency.
• Support the business alongside the Business Partnering team on monthly / forecast / budget review meetings and business team meetings
• Maintain effective financial control across Distribution Finance with inputs into, including control account reconciliations, balance sheet analysis, effective journal back-up, project ledger to general ledger reconciliations and working with the business to manage purchase ledger house-keeping (GRNI)

Skills and experience required: -

• Experience operating in a finance role within a large organisation
• Experience of financial operations; reporting on financial drivers & performance
• Collating and reviewing financial forecasts, delivering reports and insight on the forecast
• Have experience of representing finance at financial review meetings
• Proficient in MS Office Applications with an advanced knowledge of Excel .
• Pro-active and diligent in approach
• Have an appropriate accounting qualification (ICAS, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW or CIPFA) in an equivalent role
