Management Accountant (AAT qual or CIMA/ACCA PQ) - Full study support

SME with strong business growth seeks analytical management accountant.

The ideal profile is an AAT qual or finalist looking to progress onto CIMA or ACCA (full study support available) or an ACCA/CIMA PQ who is looking for a new mentor and keen to progress. Applications from professional practice staff looking to move into commerce are welcome.

You will be a personable and ambitious individual looking to work for an experienced CFO. This company is currently c£13m TO but is growing fast and hence needs someone who can help scale with the finance function. My client uses Sage, Salesforce and Excel extensively so you will need to be adept at analysing and reporting large data volumes. You will likely be studying or plan to study to become fully qualified and this will be supported and encouraged. The role is office based with life flexibility if needed, potentially one day WFH. Salary is negotiable in the £30-35k range with a discretionary bonus based on performance of both the company and individual available.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Billings and commissions
  • Reviewing invoices, addressing queries liaising with the financial accountant and operational teams to resolve queries related to billing
  • Working with the financial accountant to analyse income, raise queries and challenge the supplier data
  • Challenging and developing processes
  • Work with Directors to analyse the business and prepare findings for Monthly Board meetings
  • Support the CFO with month end routines; Month end balance sheet reconciliation preparation
  • Liaising with auditors during year end audit
  • Support the CFO and Directors with ad-hoc queries

Skills Requirements:

The Successful candidate will be degree qualified (or equivalent) working towards a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and have the following skills:

  • Analytical thinking
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise between tasks
  • Ability in working to deadlines
  • A good communicator and strong business partner to external and internal stakeholders
  • A high level of computer literacy, in particular advanced use of Excel is a requirement
  • Experience of Sage and Salesforce is helpful but not essential
