Management Accountant - 6 month FTC
NXTGEN are working with an expanding SME business as they recruit a Management Accountant to join their team based near Spalding on an initial 6-month FTC. Working closely with the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will work to ensure all month end reports and accompanying management information are delivered. This will include working with operational teams to provide insight on operational performance as well as producing insight on costings. This Management Accountant role will also work closely with sales teams to review commercial performance, identifying customer and market trends in the process. This is a broad Management Accountant role and the successful candidate can also expect to support with technical submissions during busy periods.
Key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Prepare monthly end management accounts with variance analysis
- Support with the annual budgeting and forecasting process
- Prepare monthly and quarterly VAT returns
- Business partner with both commercial and operational teams to provide key insights
- Reconcile bank accounts and balance sheet as required
The successful candidate will ideally be ACCA or CIMA qualified with prior experience. You will ideally have prior experience working in a fast paced environment such as FMCG, Manufacturing or Engineering. The role would require you to be able to manage your own work load and work within a team or individually if needed. It is expected that the successful candidate will have strong IT and Excel skills along with a strong knowledge of all aspects of management accountancy.
