Zenith People are working with our client who are a Manufacturer based in the Berwick and are looking to recruit a Maintenance Planner on a permanent basis.

The main purpose of the role is to ensure that all maintenance work/actions are planned/scheduled 4 shift patten in advance and update changes 24 hours behind the plan to support operational efficiency. (Including contractor work)

  • A plan is set up for each night shift prior to you leaving the site.
  • Managing the planning system ( MX and shift log) to support the department supervisor
  • Ensuring all parts are available for planned work
  • Leading the PR and ordering on site (supported by supervisors and Insite stores team)

Shift Pattern - Day Shift

Goals and Objectives

  • Accurate planning of all maintenance work 48 hours in front
  • Organizing and leading the planning system (MX and shift log) to support the maintenance/contractors teams - planning reactive and PM actions on site.
  • Driving the MX system so the maintenance team are using it effectively.
  • Point of Contact for all maintenance Ordering and sourcing parts required in the department and Engage fully with the Engineering stores to ensure that spare parts and stocks are
    Aligned with PM requirements and criticality analysis.
  • Maintain the health and Safety rules on site.
  • Accurate and timely completion of all paperwork/documentation - daily update, 48 hours planning,
  • Reactive to breakdown on-site with/via MX and plan accordingly
  • Adherence to health & safety procedures
  • Drive Work areas are maintained in clean, tidy and safe condition in the department.
  • SHE Targets- Safety inspections, Equipment checks plan, Weekly Audit, Hazard Cards/Positive Finds
  • Ensure Site equipment has PM on MX / SAP
  • Reviews work order accumulations and creates work orders from work requests

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all maintenance work is planned, scheduled and coordinated 48 hours ahead
  • Co-ordinate planned and unplanned shutdowns to attain all necessary schedules
  • Co-ordinate daily and weekly planning meetings and support the Department Supervisor in their maintenance meetings
  • Schedules internal and external resources, materials and services to ensure that all
    Weekly maintenance plans are created in a timely fashion and in accordance with
    departmental KPIs
  • Communicate regularly with operations and maintenance departments - daily updates and planned work. MX is up to date throughout the day. (TV screens)
  • Ensure condition monitoring schedules are maintained
  • Support the maintenance engineers with TBM schedules
  • Lead Ordering, receive and designate required materials for planned maintenance activities
  • Set out work in terms of how they are to be performed, resources and labour hours required
  • Ensure availability of drawings, manuals and other documents to assist contractor and maintenance repairs or modifications
  • Support / Supervisee On-site store support
  • Manager Contractors in Mechanical and Electrical Departs along with Superiors
  • Create new PM routines aligned with equipment criticality analyses and review
    Existing PM routines for content, alignment, and allotted time. Upgrade PM routines when
    and where necessary, via MX
  • Ensures work orders are closed when completed

Skills and Experience Required

  • Minimum of 3 years experience planning
  • Computer literate
  • Time management skills

  • Leadership skills / Driven
  • Effective teamwork
  • Experience in using SAP / MX
  • Educated to HND/ Apprenticeship level in Engineering.
