£30,000 DOE + Company Vehicle with tools

We are partnered with an exciting nationwide Self Storage organisation with a market-leading proposition, looking to strengthen their team. Our client is a well-established and rapidly expanding business looking to recruit a Maintenance Operative to provide high-quality maintenance and repair services across their London stores.

The primary goal of the position is to perform diverse tasks safely and often without direct supervision. It's essential to identify any tasks that fall outside your expertise. Your key responsibilities include upholding high-quality work standards and consistently demonstrating professionalism and courtesy in all interactions

Requirements:
  • Full clean driving licence
  • A minimum of 5 years working in a similar maintenance role
  • A range of skills including plumbing, carpentry, and painting.
  • A hard-working attitude and proactiveness with the ability to meet deadlines
  • Map reading skills and ability to effectively plan routes
  • Knowledge of health and safety guidelines and ability to follow thoroughly

Main Duties:
Plumbing
  • Attending to minor leaks
  • Replacement of taps/washers
  • Minor tile replacement
Carpentry
  • Ease and adjust timber and steel framed doors
  • Re-hang doors
  • Fit new lock mechanisms
Painting
  • Floor painting
  • Re-painting of bollards, trolleys etc
  • Office/storage decorations and general touch-up work to damaged areas.
Sheet Metalwork
  • Repairs to storage units
  • Accident damage works, removal of dents
  • Repair to trolleys

The Basics:
  • Full-time Permanent Role
  • Monday - Friday
  • Company vehicle with tools
  • Competitive basic salary of £30k, pension etc.
