Maintenance Manager

The company
A prominent manufacturing business specialising in special purpose solutions within the automotive, aerospace, defence and other manufacturing sectors. Due to a significant growth and departmental restructure, the company are now seeking a Maintenance Manager, to strengthen the maintenance and engineering team as they continue to grow.

The role
Reporting to the Technical & Engineering Director, a Maintenance Manager is now required to oversee the maintenance and engineering operations and ensure smooth running of their Oldbury based facilities.

Mon-Thurs - 08:00-17:00
Fri - 08:00-14:00

You will take responsibility for:

• Leading mechanical and electrical maintenance activities, including troubleshooting and repairs.
• Developing and implementing a preventative maintenance schedule to optimize equipment performance and minimise downtime.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and meet business objectives.
• Complying to maintenance schedules and electrical safe systems

What you need

It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:

• Strong Electrical and Mechanical skills with relevant industry qualifications
• The ability to use and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
• Experience of working within a production/manufacturing environment, ideally in an automotive/automation/ robotics setting.
• Competent with managing multiple projects and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Familiarity with pneumatics and fluid logic systems preferred.
• Full valid UK driving license and flexibility to work between 2 sites as and when required.

Other DESIRABLE skills include:

• Experience with ABB Robotics or similar would be highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of paint application processes would be desirable.
