Nigel Wright is pleased to be supporting a market leading organisation in their search for a Maintenance Manager. The business is continuing to invest heavily into their manufacturing site and has focused on increasing automation to maximise production and OEE across site.

Salary – circa £50,000 + benefits

Location – Teesside

The Role

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for effective control and improvement of all planned maintenance activities across the site (manufacturing and facilities).
  • Ensuring equipment reliability and availability don’t negatively impact on the ability to meet demand
  • 10+ direct reports
  • Management of contractors and permits for external facilities activities
  • Highlighting non-conformances and driving continuous improvement activities
  • Effective use of systems to record and analyse metrics across site
  • Utilising resources and liaising effectively with wider team to influence positive changes
  • Managing engineering stores and component availability

Person Specification

The Maintenance Manager will have –
  • 5+ years’ experience within high-volume manufacturing
  • Time served or degree qualified
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail with clear understanding of Microsoft programs
  • Worked as a Maintenance Supervisor or Manager within manufacturing
  • Highly motivated and interested in improvement projects
  • Analytical approach to data collection and utilisation of information gathered
