Reed Engineering are working alongside our client who are looking to add a Junior Maintenance Engineer (electrically bias) to their team on a permanent basis. You’ll be based in the East Kilbride area.

Hours: Monday – Friday (Dayshift 37.5 hrs)

Salary: £30K - £32.5K

Daily Duties –

  • Carrying out preventative maintenance on electrical furnaces and other equipment
  • Completing emergency maintenance when mechanical or electrical equipment breakdown
  • Keeping a record of completed and scheduled work
  • Repairing and/or replacing components and ensuring machinery functionality  
  • Checking inspection equipment is working correctly and safely

Candidate Requirements –

  • Electrical Engineering qualification or apprenticeship
  • 1 or 2 years’ experience within a similar maintenance/repair role
  • Sound knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems
  • Keen to learn and develop with training provided  
  • Driving Licence
