Maintenance Engineer - Temporary Position

Are you a passionate and dedicated Maintenance Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity? Our client, a world-class factory with a commitment to excellence, is currently seeking a Temporary Maintenance Engineer to join their award-winning Maintenance and Reliability team in Congleton.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely support factory operations, ensuring assets are available for use
  • Act as a key contributor to help deliver amazing outcomes
  • Showcase an ownership culture by going the extra mile to support the team
  • Apply sound electrical control knowledge and work with mechanical principles
  • Progress cross-functionally in both mechanical and electrical principles
  • Develop skills in areas such as robotics and PLC control
  • Utilise data to identify improvement opportunities and contribute to predictive maintenance initiatives
  • Be supported through ongoing training and mentoring to enhance your skillset
  • Work within the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) framework
  • Take part in proactive and reactive maintenance activities
  • Actively manage asset performance and capture data using our computerised maintenance management system (CMMS)

Requirements:

  • Strong team player with great ownership behaviours
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with other teams and Team Leaders
  • Control system knowledge and ability to follow through from plan to delivery
  • Understanding of improvement initiatives such as 5S, TPM, CIP, and Lean
  • PC literate and proficiency in MS Office applications; PLC knowledge preferred
  • HNC or HND in Mechanical or relevant Electrical qualification
  • Flexibility to work shifts
