Maintenance Engineer

Prescient Group are working with a Food Manufacturing organisation who are looking to recruit 3x Maintenance Engineers on a permanent basis,

As a Maintenance engineer you will be responsible for ensuring all machinery, plant, equipment, car parks and landscapes are in good working order at all times.

Duties for the Maintenance Engineer will include;

· To carry out daily maintenance within set budgets and across a variety of trades. This will include planned and reactive maintenance, keeping accurate maintenance logs and records

· Execute work is carried out to the highest possible standards in a clean and orderly manner across the whole of the site

· Assist in Project Delivery

· Perform maintenance on all machinery and equipment complies with the Health and Safety regulations and that all maintenance in carried out using Safe Systems of Work

· Undertaking unsupervised maintenance tasks ensuring all procedures are followed

· Carrying out maintenance or supporting engineers in Low Risk, High Care and High Risk environments, always adhering to Technical procedures and Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP)

· To liaise effectively with and supervise all external maintenance contractors and ensure that they follow Health and Safety standards

· Carry out routine repairs as required within the remit of your role, or escalate appropriately as required

· Responsible for adherence to H&S policy, procedure and targets

The ideal candidate will have the following;

· Able to operate PC and use Word/Outlook/Excel

· Able to work to deadlines

· Comfortable working autonomously

· H&S Level 3 or equivalent

· HNC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

· Experience working in FMCG ideally Food Manufacturing

The working hours will be 4 on 4 off (days and nights) 05:00-17:00/17:00-05:00.
