Salary: £41,000-£43,000 DOE + overtime

Location: Birmingham, West Midlands

Hours: Double Days 6.00-14.00, 14.00-22.00 Monday to Friday weekly rotations

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

The Benefits:

· Salary between £41,000-£43,000 dependent on experience

The Role:

· Electrical & Mechanical fault finding & rectification on automated machinery (conveyors, belts, cranes etc)

· Conducting planned & preventative maintenance on an array of automated machinery

· Fault finding and repair of electrical and mechanical Systems including Invertor Drives, PLCs, PSUs, Conveyors, Multi-head weighers, check weighers, flow wrappers, over-wrapping machines, gas flush machines and all other associated systems.

· Installations & Repairs of mechanical and electrical based equipment, PLCs/Motor Drives/Invertors & Heating Circuits

· Collaborate with the engineering manager to ensure smooth production of the plant

· Suggest and implement continuous improvement methodologies to maximise efficiency of the plant

· Follow and adhere to company Health & Safety Policies

· There is a call out element to this role once fully trained.

The Requirements:

· Minimum 5 years worth of experience as a Maintenance Engineer (essential)

· Proven mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic capabilities in a manufacturing environment (essential)

· Relevant mechanical/electrical Qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQs/17th/18th edition) - essential

· Proven ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics (essential)

· Previous experience working within the Food or Automotive industries (advantageous)

· In depth understanding of fault finding/diagnostics on manufacturing machinery
