Maintenance Engineer
SWIFT Temps Ltd Engineering Division are currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to work for our client based in Keighley on a permanent basis.
Role Duties & Responsibilities
- To provide electrical and mechanical maintenance to a range of machinery including shrink wrappers, conveyors, generators, chillers and bottling machinery
- Reacting to urgent breakdowns reducing machine down time to a minimum
- Electrical repairs to motors, drivers, inverters, encoders, boards, wiring,
- switches, relays, contractors, sensors
- PLC fault finding and interrogation to trace back faults- Recording and
- commissioning all fault findings
- Assisting with projects and the installation of the new plant- Communicating
- effectively with the engineering manager
- Assisting the developing and implementing line improvements, new
- installations, office repairs
- Planned maintenance and any other tasks deemed appropriate by the
- engineering manager
- Must be prepared to work across two sites in Keighley and Grassington
Essential Experience Required
- Relevant Apprentice training or relevant qualifications
- Electronics/ PLC
- Pneumatics
- Mechanical engineering
- Mig Tig welding
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Fault finding and maintenance experience
- Experience in the food and drinks manufacturing industry
Core hours of 48 hours per week, based around 5 days per week, Monday - Saturday.
Salary: £17.50 per hour plus company pension
