Futures are delighted to be working with a really well-established and niche FMCG | Food Manufacturing business based in the Leeds area.

Due, to recent growth the company are enjoying an impressive growth spout and therefore looking to bring on board a Maintenance Engineer to be a part of their engineering function.

Reporting into the Engineering Manager, a Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring production is running smoothly and efficiently by rectifying any machinery breakdowns and working as part of a team on continuous improvement projects and PPM's.

Responsibilities of a Maintenance Engineer:

• Working on machinery and equipment breakdowns to ensure production is up and running.
• Routine and Preventative Maintenance as planned on a CMMS system.
• Continuous Improvement Projects
• Repairing equipment and machinery.
• Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical faults.
• Conducting frequent quality checks on machinery and equipment
• Working safely and in accordance with the health and safety regulations on site.
• Plan / prioritise workload to support production and ensure efficient use of working time.
• Identify spares requirements.
• Assist with moving, installation and repositioning of machines and equipment on site.

Successful Maintenance Engineer will have:

• Mechanical based apprenticeship with an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Proven Experience working within a FMCG | Food Manufacturing Industry (catering, foodservice, wholesalers would also be fine).
• Ability to prioritise tasks and communicate effectively within the team and production.
• Basic Experience in Welding and Fabrication would be beneficial, however not essential.
