Job role: Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 DOE
Location: Bedford, Bedfordshire 
Hours: 8:30-17:00 Monday to Friday
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

The Company:

Interaction Technical have partnered with a growing, market leading provider of value-added and differentiated flexible polyurethane foam products based in Bedford on their search for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. Our client is a specialist foam producer for an array of industries including the Residential, Commercial and retail industries and after a period of year on year growth, they are now looking for a Maintenance Engineer to run the site and ensure the operation is running as smoothly as possible. The Role

  • Carry out Preventative Planned Maintenance and reactive breakdowns within stipulated timescales to minimise production downtime.
  • Assess and monitor the production equipment to ensure the systems are operating efficiently and effectively constantly
  • Fault finding on CNC Machines.
  • Repair Manual Cutting Machines
  • Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns
  • Respond to unplanned breakdowns in a timely and effective manner
  • Carry out both mechanical and electrical fault finding to diagnose potential issues or problems.
  • Carry out all work according to company procedures and Health & Safety Policies

The Requirements

  • Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment (essential)
  • Able read Electrical and Mechanical drawings
  • Multi-skilled Electromechanical Engineer with either a mechanical or electrical bias (essential)
  • Working with and repairing  Fabrication Booths (Advantageous)
  • Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic capabilities (essential)
  • Relevant Electrical/Mechanical Qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQs) – Advantageous
  • Knowledge of PLC systems (advantageous)
  • Full UK Driving License required
