Maintenance Engineer

Position: Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Interaction Engineering are seeking a versatile Maintenance Engineer dedicated to ensuring the seamless operation of our production lines in Huntingdon. The role demands a proactive and safety-conscious individual who thrives in a dynamic manufacturing environment. Your primary focus will be on reducing downtime, implementing preventative maintenance strategies, and contributing to continuous improvements.

The Position:

-          Work closely with production teams to optimise efficiency and minimise downtime.

-          Follow planned maintenance schedules (PPM) and promptly respond to machinery breakdowns.

-          Implement improvement requests and preventative maintenance tasks to enhance overall performance.

-          Make recommendations for cost reduction, downtime minimisation, and improved health and safety.

-          Complete administrative duties related to pre and post maintenance tasks.

-          Participate in project work and undertake site and facilities maintenance activities.

-          Ensure compliance with Health and Safety management system, participating in audits when required.

What we need from you?

-          Well-rounded engineer with an electrical bias and apprentice trained.

-          Knowledge and experience in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

-          Welding experience – Desirable, not essential

-          Computer literate, especially in MS Word and Excel.

-          Ability to work independently and unsupervised.

-          Experience in time-critical manufacturing environments.

-          Full UK driving license.
