We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our growing client in York . This is a great chance to join a fast-paced engineering team. We are looking for a reliable and hardworking person and can offer an immediate start for the right candidate.

Day shift: Tue to Sat 8am to 5pm with lots of overtime available.

Salary: £19.76 per hour weekly paid and £23.92 per hour for any hours between 6pm and 6am.

Our engineers must have the ability to analyse and fault-find breakdowns rapidly and perform repairs methodically and efficiently to the best engineering standards, ensuring the respective corrective actions are carried out.

Duties include:-

  • Follow a Planned Preventative Maintenance Programme.
  • Fault finding and emergency repairs to resume production as soon as possible.
  • Participate in the installation of new equipment.
  • Reconditioning, adaption, welding and fabrication of new and existing machinery.

About you

Candidates should have the knowledge and experience in both Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering and have experience of working as a multi skilled maintenance engineer within a manufacturing environment. You should be computer literate and have excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Access to own transport due to location and live not further than 20 miles away from the site.
