Electrical/ Mechanical Engineer - Permanent
Location - Northamptonshire
Monday to Thursday: 7.30am - 5.00pm
Friday: 7.30am - 11.30am
KAP Technical are working with one of the largest and most well-established organisations in the UK, specialising in the service, repair, and maintenance of cutting machinery and systems.
Due to our clients continued expansion, we are looking for an experienced and highly skilled engineer to enhance an already successful, experienced dedicated team.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in the assembly of a range of cutting machinery our client manufactures.
- Troubleshoot and repair machinery: You will diagnose and repair issues in machinery that need reconditioning to ensure they function optimally.
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings: A critical skill requirement for this position is the ability to understand and work with technical drawings.
- Bench fitting, machining, and fabrication: Experience in these areas would be valuable for this role.
- Electrical bias preferred: While an electrical bias is preferred, familiarity with hydraulic and mechanical equipment is advantageous.
- Independent work: You should be capable of working with minimal supervision, self-motivated, and possess problem-solving abilities.
- Work in both factory and field settings: You will work on new machinery in the factory and occasionally in the field.
- Heavy equipment operation: Some machinery may require the use of heavy lifting equipment such as cranes, but we will provide training and specialized tools.
- Knowledge of safety control systems: Familiarity with modern safety control systems is a plus.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years' industry experience: Ideally, you should have a maintenance background, but junior professionals looking for career progression are also encouraged to apply.
- Industrial equipment motivation: You should have a strong interest in working with industrial equipment.
Effective communication skills: good communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be working in a team and sometimes interacting with clients
