Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)


Huntingdon

Salary 34k (days only 8 hours per day Mon to Friday ONLY)

Key responsibilities will include: -

  • Effective administration of the MRP system to maximise operational efficiency, whilst also meeting Customers’ delivery timescales.
  • Identify issues and constructively escalate accordingly.
  • Help identify hold-ups within the flow, plus finding systematic solutions to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Prepare reports and KPI information as required.
  • Liaise with the Production and Maintenance departments to understand and prioritise engineering support.
  • To assist and/or participate the company’s emergency chemical spill team giving support to ensure a smooth and safe evacuation of premises whilst maintaining company emergency chemical spill procedure/plan.
  • Support to the Maintenance Managers as follows:

Keep PPM system updated with Maintenance tasks progress.
Liaising with suppliers for the ordering of parts, this will include raising Purchase Orders.
Liaising with the Maintenance co-ordinator to arrange and organise external contractors.
Updating and creating files within the Maintenance department systems (Work instructions, training matrix etc.).
Review and analyse data for deficiencies, resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures and returning incomplete documents to the Maintenance co-ordinator for resolution.
