Maintenance Engineer - 4 day week

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

Location: Sheffield

Shifts: 6am - 2:30pm Monday to Friday

Salary: £34,000 - £38,000 per annum

Metalis is working with a company based in Sheffield who manufacture products and components for the oil and gas industry. They are a worldwide client who have some fantastic engineering capabilities.

Job Role:

• To carry out planned preventative maintenance on a range of machinery across the site including plant and equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns in an efficient manner in order to reduce machine downtime and increase productivity.
• Interpret equipment and plant layout drawings: mechanical & electrical.
• Produce documentary evidence and carry out scheduled maintenance of plant and equipment in accordance with legislative requirements.
• Ensure that maintenance logs are kept up to date.
• Have a good knowledge of health & safety and work with the maintenance manager for continuous improvement activities.

Job Requirements:

• Apprentice trained in a relevant mechanical or electrical discipline.
• Mechanically biased with electrical competencies.
• A good understand of hydraulics & pneumatics.
• A good knowledge of health & safety.
