First Achieve's Engineering Division have an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Electrician to join an established and growing company in the Edinburgh region. Our client is an international manufacturer, dedicated to defence industries world-wide.

This role will work closely with the Maintenance Technician, and you will be expected to work with minimal supervision, across the business premise, with a high quality of care.

What's on Offer:

  • Hourly wage between £18-18.4/hr

Duties will Include:

  • Maintenance and repairs of Plant equipment to the highest standard.
  • Ensure cost effective use of energy and general company facilities.
  • Ensure all department policies and procedures are maintained, communicated, understood and adhered to.
  • Maintenance and repair of all production plant equipment (CNC Machinery, Overhead Cranes etc.) and services on site including offices, kitchen and toilet facilities.
  • Electrical Installations/upgrades/remedials (lighting repairs etc.)
  • Emergency light testing/PAT testing/Thermal Imaging

Essential skills, experience and knowledge requirements:

The successful candidate must have:

  • Served a recognised apprenticeship and have obtained a qualification in an electrical discipline to a minimum of SVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
  • A current electrical qualification in electrical installations, for example City and Guilds 2382 or BS7671 (18th Edition).
  • Be a timed served electrician.
  • Have a good understanding of Electrical drawings.
  • Have a good all-round knowledge of electrical maintenance.
  • Be able to work under pressure and being able to use your own initiative.
  • Be a good communicator with a helpful and flexible approach/ proactive in self-learning and development.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
