Experienced Maintenance Electrician needed for a large hospitality business near Penzance.

The Role

Responsible for keeping the buildings in great condition, business operational, safe, ensuring that the functionality is to a high standard inside & out. Maintenance are responsible for daily small repairs to cover breakdowns & will be involved in project works for upgrades throughout the site.

Duties include responding radio calls for small repairs & breakdowns, systems fault finding, working on pre-planned maintenance & larger scale electrical installations.

Main Responsibilities

  • Responding to electrical breakdowns & small repairs
  • Installing, maintaining, modifying & testing electrical systems in all buildings
  • Conducting emergency light testing in accordance with regulations, to include repairs & modifications as required
  • Ensuring that electrical systems adhere to the national electrical safety standards & regulations
  • Advising where aged electrical equipment should be replaced to eliminate hazards
  • Following applicable safety guidelines & procedures
  • Calculating the materials & time required to complete projects
  • Operating in a clean & tidy manner reducing impact on the business operating where possible
  • Working as part of the maintenance team with day to day tasks & project works
  • Performing other duties as required

Requirements

  • Hold an 18th edition qualification
  • Have at least 2 years of electrical experience
  • Have good interpersonal skills
  • Work as part of a small team
  • Full driving licence
