Maintenance Assistant
Our client is currently recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Assistant based within Edinburgh, EH16
This role is to undertake General Maintenance duties within the Hospital.
Available shifts / Locations below:
- Monday until Friday (5 days a week)
- Postcode: EH16 4SA
- 08:00-16:00PM
- £18.49 including holiday pay, however you have the option to accrue
- Paid Weekly, Every Friday before 5 PM.
Skills and experience required:
- Must have at least 2 years previous experience
- DBS Required
- NVQ Level 3
- Punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
- Able to manage time effectively
- Ability to work both alone and in a team
- Awareness of health and safety procedures
- A good standard of Secondary Education, including Maths and English
Must have experience in the following:
- To undertake Planned and Reactive Maintenance within your skillset
- Liaise with suppliers to minimise costs whilst keeping good value.
- Assist other skilled trades in carrying out maintenance, repairs, testing, inspection and installation work.
- Where instructed, carry out minor repairs to the building fabric to ensure the safety and security of the client’s premises, staff and visitors.
- Respond in a safe manner to the effects of bad weather, e.g. Snow clearing, gritting, flooding, high winds, etc.
- Undertake training to maintain and develop the requirements of the service.
- Liaise and undertake duties at other sites in my portfolio.
- Ensure Health and Safety policies are followed across all sites.
