Adept are working with a leading manufacturing company dedicated to delivering precision-engineered solutions to their clients. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, they specialise in manufacturing high-quality components for various industries. As they continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join their team in Ripley.

Working hours - Monday -Friday. DAYS ONLY

**Responsibilities:**

  • The ideal candidate should be able to work on their own initiative and be able to read and understand complex engineering drawings.
  • The role will entail the fitting, assembly and testing of a wide array of assemblies. The scope of work will cover relatively straightforward tooling through to complex mechanical assemblies with associated hydraulic systems.
  • The size of projects will vary from items which can be handled manually up to and including larger assemblies which require specialised lifting and handling equipment.
  • Working closely with the Project Engineering team, you will be responsible for meeting the customer requirements as defined by their specification and testing requirements.
  • support the assembly and testing process.

**Requirements:**

  • Time Served / Level 3 Apprenticeship in a relevant discipline
  • Mechanical Assembly
  • 5 years Manual Machining
  • Experience of working within relevant industries;
  • Nuclear, Defence Experience of working with a wide range of assemblies in size and weight
  • Experience of working to tight tolerances
