Job Title: Machine/Warehouse Operator
Location: Wigan (WN4)
Salary: Up to £25,000 - £26,000 (DOE)
Shifts : Rotating Mon- Thur 08:00 - 16:45hrs & Fri 08:00-12:00hrs &
Mon-Thu 12:00-20:45 & Fri 10:00-14:00hrs
Job Type: Permanent

The Company
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Machine/Warehouse Operator to join our client, who is a UK market leader specialising in the manufacture and distribution of bespoke products for the Utilities and Industrial markets throughout the UK.
This role is mainly working the day shift, however, applicants must be flexible to work the rotating shift pattern when required.

As the Machine/Warehouse Operator, your duties will be:
  • Load & Unload Machines and make minor adjustments to the controls.
  • Inspect the product from start to end finish.
  • Weigh and pack the finished product.
  • Change & clean equipment as required.
  • Monitor machine performance on an on-going basis, ensuring it is running to maximum capacity.
  • Taking corrective actions where necessary.
  • Ensuring equipment is maintained in good working order and faults reported immediately.
  • Using FLT, load and unload vehicles.
  • Goods In & Out duties - checking orders and completing relevant paperwork.
  • Housekeeping duties

As the ideal Machine/Warehouse Operator will hold the following skills and experiences:
  • Previous experience using any Production/Manufacturing/Engineering machines would be ideal.
  • Experience of driving FLT is essential - must have current/previous RTITB counterbalance licence.
  • Flexible attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent team player
  • Good communication skills.
  • Must be flexible to work a rotating shift if required.
