Machine Operator

My client based in Blackburn is looking for a skilled Machine Operator to join their team. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of machinery to ensure efficient production processes. The ideal candidate will have experience with machine operation, basic math skills, and production knowledge.

The hours are 12 hour shifts 6pm-6am working Saturday and Sunday every weekend. The work will also include working at least 2 more shifts during the week - Starting Wednesday 10th April 6pm.

Responsibilities:
- Set up machines according to production requirements and specifications
- Operate machinery
- Monitor machines during operation to ensure proper functioning
- Ensure routine maintenance on machines is completed to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance
- Inspect finished products for quality assurance
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during production
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role preferred
- Proficient in basic math skills for measurements
- Knowledge of materials
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and write
