Working Days Monday – Friday with early finish on Friday

To give you an idea of how this Machine Operator / Assembly Technician role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:

• Use an automatic saw to cut aluminium profile stock as required from the production cutting list

• Use the CNC Router to cut a variety of panels as required
• Operate milling and drilling machines to perform basic machining to lengths of extruded aluminium
• Determine correct cut lengths to minimise scrap offcut material
• Assist maintenance personnel with the saw and router maintenance and repair

To apply for this Machine Operator / Assembly Technician role, your soft skills, expertise and experience should include:

• At least 1 year in a similar mechanical engineering role
• Minimum GCSE Mathematics and English
• NVQ Level 2 In Mechanical Engineering
• Ability to work within given time frames
• Able to work easily with others and be part of a team

Candidates who have worked previously or currently in machine building, mechanical assembly, mechanical fitting, CNC setting, machine setting, machine maintenance will have relevant skills to this role.
