Long Term Maths Teacher position - temporary

Reed Education Southampton are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to fulfil a long term cover role within an Alternative Education Centre located within Basingstoke.

The school is a small Alternative Education Centre that caters to pupils where the curriculum is delivered within a flexible and nurturing environment that recognises individual needs. The school provides short term placements for young people within the Basingstoke area who need additional behavioural, emotional or medical support, providing catered lesson delivery to support learners to build their confidence, overcome barriers to learning and progress to a positive next step within their lives.

You will be the Maths Teacher, responsible for the delivery of curriculum content within your specialism, and adapting your teaching methods in a way that caters to individual needs. You will have a patient and calm manner, and be willing to assist pupils with their learning journeys to allow them the opportunity to progress to the best of their ability.

The salary for this role is set between £130-200 per day (TBC), and is currently a temporary,  long term position – however, permanent placement opportunities may arise.

For this role, you will be/will need:

- Qualified Teacher Status desired, but Unqualified Teachers can apply

- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service is required, or can be obtained through us

- Good availability for consistency within the school

- SEMH experience or similar desired but not essential

- Maths Specialist
