About the Logistics Assistant role

As our Logistics Assistant, you will assist the Logistics team with the daily customer outloads and provide administrative support within the office

Key responsibilities as our Logistics Assistant:

• Use the SAP system to process all customer orders, create delivery notes and shipments.
• Create Callovers and ASN’s for customer deliveries and collections.
• Communicate with internal departments regarding orders for shortages and new launches.
• Advise the Account Managers and Logistics Coordinator on all shorts to contact the relevant customers.
• Create pallet labels for each customer and manage pallet logs.
• Check all orders are correct before shipments made on SAP.
• Responsible for de-hiring all external equipment - Chep pallets, IFCO trays, GXO trays and M&S baskets and managing the daily stock balances.
• General admin – answering emails and first point of contact for main phone calls.
• Carry out any other duties as dictated by the needs of the company.

Ad hoc duties

• Export documentation – provide holiday cover for Logistics Coordinator.
• Assisting Technical with Agency and permanent staff inductions.
