Locum Vascular Surgery Consultant

Job Title: Consultant Vascular Surgeon

Duration: 3 Months (with possibility of extension)

Location: Ysbyty Glan Clwyd

Hourly rate: £95.00 - £120.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert-level clinical care in vascular surgery to patients within the Ysbyty Glan Clwyd healthcare facility.
• Perform complex surgical procedures with precision and proficiency, adhering to best practices and patient safety protocols.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient management and treatment plans.
• Participate in on-call rotations with a minimum frequency of 1:9, with potential for additional on-call responsibilities.
• Contribute to the education and training of junior medical staff and students, sharing knowledge and expertise in vascular surgery.
• Engage in continuous professional development activities to stay updated on advancements in vascular surgery techniques and technologies.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Medical degree from a recognized institution, with full registration and license to practice with the General Medical Council (GMC).
• Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) or equivalent qualification in vascular surgery.
• Extensive experience working at consultant level in vascular surgery, demonstrating a track record of excellence in clinical practice.
• Registration on the Specialist Register for Vascular Surgery with the General Medical Council (GMC).
• Valid driving license, as travel may be required for outreach clinics or emergency patient care.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Additional Information:

• This is a 3-month contract initially, with the possibility of extension based on performance and departmental needs.
• The position requires an immediate start, with the successful candidate expected to commence duties as soon as possible.
