Are you a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Technician seeking new opportunities? Day Webster Recruitment Agency is currently recruiting for a Locum Pharmacy Technician (Band 5) to join our AHP division. This is an excellent opportunity to work flexibly in various healthcare settings and contribute to the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical services.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions accurately and efficiently, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines
  • Prepare medication orders and assist in stock management, including ordering, receiving, and storing pharmaceutical supplies
  • Label and package medications appropriately, ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards
  • Conduct final accuracy checks on dispensed prescriptions, verifying the accuracy of drug selection, dosage, and labelling
  • Provide support and assistance to pharmacy staff and healthcare professionals, addressing medication-related queries and issues
  • Maintain accurate medication records and documentation, including prescription records and controlled drug registers
  • Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and infection control measures
  • Participate in continuous professional development activities and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:
  • Diploma or equivalent qualification in Pharmacy Technician studies
  • Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Proven experience working as a Pharmacy Technician in a hospital or community pharmacy setting
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications and conducting final accuracy checks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and adapt to changing work environments
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care and adhering to professional standards and ethical principles in pharmacy practice
