Locum Childcare Lawyer – Predominantly Remote Working – up to £55 per hour umbrella – 3 Months + – West Midlands

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with an established Local Authority in the West Midlands area who are recruiting for a Locum Childcare Lawyer to join their department.

This is a full-time position however candidates with part-time availability may also be considered. The role is offered for an initial 3-month period with a likelihood of an extension and will be worked on a predominantly remote basis with the exception of attending court in the Midlands area.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within Local Government and Childcare Law and be comfortable to conduct their own advocacy.

Duties may include:

  • Managing a busy and varied caseload of Childcare cases to include all pre-proceedings
  • Advising at LPM and PLO meetings
  • Performing own advocacy to include contested and final hearings
  • Advising client departments on complex issues concerning Childcare law
  • Undertaking Contested Hearings, advising and assisting in complex cases

An attractive rate is on offer of up to £55 per hour umbrella dependent on individual experience.
