Birchrose Associates are working on an attractive new opportunity for a Locum Charities Solicitor or Legal Executive to assist within an excellent L500 law firm on a remote basis.

The Opportunity

We are partnering with a well-regarded, L500 practice to source a Locum Charities Solicitor or Legal Executive to assist whilst they recruit on a permanent basis. The role is offered on a remote working basis.

This assignment is to start in June with an expected duration of 3-6 months, with potential to extend beyond this point. The locum would ideally be available to assist on a part time basis, working 2-3 days per week.

Responsibilities

The successful Locum will manage a caseload of matters including:

  • Advising charity clients with a range of charity law queries
  • Handling the set up of new charities as well as the incorporation of existing unincorporated charities
  • Charity mergers and closures
  • Issues relating to governance

The locum will benefit from secretarial support.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years' experience as a Locum Charities Solicitor or Legal Executive
  • Ability to work self-sufficiently and hit the ground running in a locum role
